Project Overview
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT) enlisted technical consultancy services to ensure the organized monitoring and management of its Programme of Projects funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). The project’s objectives include effective implementation of approved projects, fulfilling beneficiary obligations, and strategic planning and prioritization of new initiatives to secure additional funding from the RRF.
Consultant's Role and Approach
PLANET’s role centers on aligning the Ministry’s efforts with RRF requirements. To this end, we provide ongoing support in three key areas:
- Strategic Planning and Prioritization of New Projects
Our expert team collaborates with the Ministry to evaluate and prioritize new project proposals, ensuring alignment with RRF criteria. Assistance is also provided in preparing comprehensive funding applications to maximize the chances of securing approval for new initiatives. - Managing Projects’ Funding and Obligations
Support includes overseeing the financial and procedural aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with RRF funding requirements. We implement structured systems to streamline reporting and funding management, reducing administrative burdens for the Ministry. - Programme Implementation Monitoring
We prepare regular monitoring reports for the General Secretary of MoIT. These reports provide valuable insights into project progress, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions to ensure alignment with project goals.
Outcomes and Impact
Although the project is ongoing, significant progress has already been achieved in improving MoIT’s project management framework. The strategic planning efforts have bolstered the Ministry’s capacity to identify and prioritize impactful initiatives. The establishment of structured reporting mechanisms is enhancing transparency and compliance, laying the groundwork for the successful implementation of the RRF-funded projects.
