Project Overview
The project aimed to conduct a comprehensive survey to assess the engagement levels of the workforce across the shipping company’s operations in Greece and Cyprus, involving a total of 300 employees. The goal was to identify the factors driving engagement and overall workplace wellbeing, enabling the company to address key challenges and improve employee satisfaction.
The Approach
Our consulting team developed the engagement survey using PULSO’s “Wellbeing Organizational Dynamics” tool, extending the analysis beyond standard engagement metrics to include critical psychosocial factors that are particularly relevant in high-stress environments like shipping. These included:
- Occupational Stress
- Burnout Risk
- Workplace Harassment
- Employee Dedication and Commitment
- Job Satisfaction
This expanded approach allowed for a thorough assessment not only of engagement but also broader indicators of workplace wellbeing critical in a demanding industry like shipping.
The results highlighted both strong points and areas needing improvement within the company. After reviewing the findings with the management team, we translated the insights into a set of concrete recommendations aimed at improving employee engagement and wellbeing.
Outcomes
The proposed actions gave the shipping company a clear path forward to enhance employee morale, reduce workplace stress, and create a healthier, more engaged workforce—ultimately contributing to the company's operational efficiency and success.
